About Reyn
Reyn Holden is the Founder of Quintessence Consulting. With over a decade of experience in consulting and finance, Reyn created Quintessence Consulting to help start-ups achieve their goals; with a particular focus on SaaS and FinTech. Reyn has a proven record of helping companies accelerate growth, secured over $200 million in funding, and led a $1.3 billion exit.
Prior to Quitessence Consulting, Reyn was a finance executive for Truebill and Great Minds. Where he helped CEOs drive business outcomes and led interactions with key
stakeholders (Board and investors).
Reyn has an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. For undergrad, Reyn attended Roanoke College and double majored in business and Economics.
Reyn spends his professional time between Richmond, Washington, and New York. He resides with his wife, daughter, and two Bernese Mountain dogs outside of Richmond,
Virginia.

Case Study – Truebill
Reyn joined the Truebill executive team as the first finance hire. Over his 3 year tenure, he
helped Truebill grow revenue by 20x, launched multiple products (savings, credit card, short
term lending, asset management, and others), and expanded the finance functions in
preparation for an IPO.
To fund Truebill’s rapid expansion, Reyn raised 3 rounds of funding with VCs (Accel,
Bessember, and Eldridge). He also secured debt facilities with SVB to help ensure ample
liquidity to meet Truebill’s growth. When the time to sell came, he led the $1.3 billion sale to
Rocket Companies and executed the deal in under 60 days. After the deal, he worked with
Rocket’s CFO to smoothly transition finance functions to Rocket’s finance team.
